The Beautiful Marco Island

Whenever Jer and I have a break we love to go see as much of Florida as possible. This little weekend getaway took us to the beautiful Marco Island. This has been by far one of our favorite spots. It is on the west coast of Florida a little south of Naples. While we were there we felt like we had our own private island... all to ourselves. Once we parked we had to carry all our beach bags and goodies through a lagoon that came up to our waist so we could get to "our" island. And it was magnificent. There were big bright sea shells everywhere, orange swirly ones, pink ruffly ones, and a bunch of sand dollars. The sunset was great too. Just as we were leaving, the clouds turned black. We ran to our cars hopped in and then it poured. It was such a great time. And off we were to our next adventure... Sanibel Island. Which is North of Naples and covered in a million tiny white sea shells. We had a great time there as well and await our next adventure.
